Instructional coherence isn’t about aligned priorities.

It’s about aligned practice.

Our ARC Reading Framework

Our flagship tool- a framework of instructional practices that close foundational reading gaps while keeping classroom instruction rigorous and grade-level standards-aligned.

We built ARC because we believe that literacy is a practice — not a subject— and closing the literacy gap will only happen when reading is embedded into every classroom, every content area, and every grade level. We also know that teachers and school leaders are working tireless to connect the dots between dozens of major initiatives and priorities like Science of Reading, curriculum implementation, MTSS, Integrated ELD, and more, so we did the leg work to weave them all into ARC so that schools can create coherent professional learning that brings all of their goals to life at once. ARC isn’t a new initiative, it’s a coherence bridge between them.

High quality instructional practice comes from high quality professional learning.

ARC works best when paired with high quality professional learning experiences, like Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Coming soon, we’re building the planning tools to help you bring ARC to life. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to get them in your inbox.

“I tried it out in my class today and noticed immediate results, especially with peer-peer discussion. You gave me the confidence to put close reading strategies into action and I'm excited to keep practicing.”
